Opallac Nude Gel Duos

Recently Opallac released 2 new duos with super flattering nude colours to suite everyone. I got my hands on these, so of course I had to have a play. You always need more nude colours in your collection right? As I've said before, I love Opallac as a brand with great quality gel that you can actually just buy at Priceline. If you're into doing your own nails at home, these are a must have.

The first duo I'm wearing here is called Pretty in Pink with Sugar Blossom (above) and Misty Rose (below). I also tried to do an ombre using both these colours with a blending brush, because I can never leave my nails alone!

The second duo is called Too Nude Not To. Colours are Nude Bae(above) and Rise & Grind(below). And then I did a dotticure using both colours.

Opallac is available through their website or from Priceline stores. The duo's retails for $29.95 each.

CND Vinylux

I've been a fan of CND products for a long time (I think their acrylic and solar oil have to be some of my all time fav products), and as I am trying to get some more professional products into my collection as I'm about to start nail school and become a technician, I was stoked to get my hands on some colours from the new Vinylux reinvented range. So what's so special about it?  The polishes are infused with Keratin, Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E, along with an ergonomic that makes application super smooth. The best bit is a 7 day wear - normally I scoff when brands claim that they wear for more than a few days, but as you'll see below these actually delivered. There is no base coat required, just colour and their top coat - which you'll note is in a black bottle so this is PURE speculation but I'm fairly certain there has to be some kind of UV magic involved in making this top coat so darn good!

So this pic I took after 5 days of wearing. I kid you not. Look at that total lack of tip wear! The only obvious flaw is one corner of my middle finger has come away, but that is because I stupidly bumped it while they were wet, so of course it was a weak area that was going to wear down.

Here are the 2 colours I have - Alpine Plum (above) and Gotcha (below). Both I applied 2 coats with their topcoat. You can see how wonderfully shiny they are and the dry time was quite quick. There are over 120 colours available, and they also match the CND Shellac colours.

CND Vinylux is available for individual purchase at www.cndshop.com.au and as an in-salon service. Vinylux Weekly Polish Colour Coat / Top Coat (15ml) RRP $19.95 each
