OPI Mexico City Collection

Hope everyone is staying well and safe in this crazy world we currently live in! Right before NSW went into lockdown, I recieved a whole bunch of fun nail mail so at least I'm keeping myself busy playing with all my fun new products.

Today I am sharing with you a selection of the colours from the OPI Mexico City collection. If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen all these, but I wanted to put them all together on a post. This range is a great assortment of bright fun colours! The polishes I have are from the Infinite Shine range, so they have a base and top coat as part of the system that gives you that full gel-like glossy look. Because I have acrylics on, I didn't actually use the base coat for these swatches, but I can tell you from past use that on natural nails that if you use the whole system you do get almost a weeks wear time. Sorry this is a very pic heavy post - many of these colours I wanted to try out both alone and part of nail art coz that's my jam.
First colour up is Telenovela Me About It, a gorgeous bright pink with a subtle blue shimmer in it. Ugh it’s so stunning! 3 coats for full opacity. This is my favourite of them all, purely because the pink/blue flash is one of my all time favoruite nail colours. And being OPI they do it extremely well.
This gorgeous deep purple creme is Mariachi Makes My Day. It’s super rich, and 2 thin coats for full opacity. Here I topped it with some simple silver stamping and the OPI matte top coat. 💫
Excuse my dried out af hands - no amount of oil can keep up with the amount of hand washing happening!
Today’s swatch and art is Coral-ing Your Spirit Animal from the Mexico City collection. I’m going to call is and say coral nails are the new red, so this is an essential shade to your collection. This pastel orange is just so creamy and gorgeous - here I am wearing 2 coats (and the art is just some simple reverse stamping popped on top)
Next up in my swatchathon is My Chihuahua Doesn’t Bite Anymore. It’s a duper bright red, leaning slightly orange. If there is such a thing as a summery red - this is it! Here I am wearing 2 coats, and lots of stamping because I can’t help myself!
This colour is ¡Viva OPI! - I didn’t do any art because this is such a classic classy colour to wear! You can’t beat a rich bright red.
Hue is the Artist? is my last shade. This is a SUPER pale lavender, almost white but less stark and more pretty! Here I am wearing 3 thin coats, but it dried down quickly so wasn’t a pain to work with at all. Here I have teamed it up with some fun floral water decals.
RRP: Infinite Shine $22.95, Nail Lacquer $19.95, Stockists: Available at Myer, David Jones and selected salons for a limited time
